Cold Weather Fuel System Design

Duration:               1 Hour
Presenters:           David Eoff and Alex Canney

In the wake of the historic cold front impacting the southern United States, most facilities found their fuel systems were not designed for the cold weather experienced in mid-February. Preferred Utilities has a very long track record of supplying heated fuel systems for heavy oil and No. 2 diesel in northern states. We’ll share these design considerations in this one hour webinar. The focus will be on fueling systems for emergency diesel generators, with a little bit of discussion about cold weather preparedness for boilers. Presenters will be Alex Canney, Preferred fuel system engineer and technician from Maine, and David Eoff, engineer and sometimes technician in Texas.
